In a study by a drug company, 98 people with type 2 diabetes were given red wine and it was overwhelmingly found to have lowered their glucose levels.
Remember that doesn't mean you can drown yourself in a bottle of wine, nor does it mean that the more red wine you drink the healthier you'll be. What it does mean is that you can add this to the short list( vinegar & cinnamon ) that in small to moderate quantities will lower your blood sugar.
They say more study needs to be done on this and before you change your diet or routine you should check with your doctor.
