Children are just as much at risk for developing diabetes type 2 as adults are. In fact more kids today are at risk than ever before.
You can keep your kids safe from this disease by making sure they keep proper weight for their age and height, and keep some level of physical activity.
Once again it all comes down to diet and exercise. Keep in mind kids learn from their parents, so if you need to shed some pounds and become more active you need to do so. Not only will you be healthier, but you will be teaching your kids to live a more healthy lifestyle too.
So do it for them, if not for you.
