People who suffer from job burnout, high stress, were found to be over 80% more likely to develop diabetes type 2. The researchers explored several possible causes for this, but none of them fit.
Common sense tells us that burnout and stress are not good things, so nothing good will come of them. Even without the exact connection, it would be healthier all the way around to overcome those things. Exercise and good nutrition are great ways to start, and again I know it sound like too simple an answer. However, it's a great place to start.
Being relaxed and happy can only serve to strengthen your body and immune system, so find something you like to do and put yourself into it.
If the job is affecting your health you may need to change your situation.
