Diabetes comes with many possible problems, and one of them is the nerve damage to the feet. Because you have nerve damage you tend not to notice small injuries and cuts. Along with the nerve damage you may also suffer from poor circulation which impedes healing of these small wounds.
It is suggested that you wash your feet and dry them thoroughly especially between the toes. Then inspect them with a magnifying glass for cuts and wounds. Powder your feet to keep them dry and make sure you are wearing well fitted and comfortable shoes. Do not ever walk barefoot!
