For those of you who are new at being diabetic, be aware that just because something is labeled "sugarless" does not mean it's eat all you want.
If you read the nutrition label you will see that a lot of your sugarless candy, for example has a lot of carbs. In the body carbs turn into sugar. So you can see how the label sugarless can be deceiving.
Now if you look further into the nutritional information, let's say on a vegetable, under carbs it will tell you how much fiber is in the food. This is important because if a food has, let's say 20g of carbs and 5g of fiber, you can subtract the amount of fiber from the carb count because the fiber will not be absorbed by the body. So in this example, five from twenty leaves 15, and that will give you the true amount of carbs in your food.
As always, the general rule and key to eating is to eat small portions and in moderation!
