There are many different kinds of sugars and many different names for them. Get to know these other words for sugar to be sure the foods you're buying are truly sugar free. Here is a partial list of the most common.

Sugar contributes to so many other unhealthy conditions that everyone, not only diabetics, should consider steering clear of it. There already is a lot of added sugars in many of the prepared foods we eat.

Sugar has a negative effect on your skin, blood pressure and many of the organs and processes of the body.

When reading nutritional labels remember that only 7 grams equal 1 tablespoon. That can add up to a lot of sugar if you're not careful.
