We've always been told that diabetes can and does often lead to heart disease. Well there is a new study that says heart attack victims are far more likely to develop diabetes than others.
This study tells us that it works both ways, diabetes is a risk for heart problems and heart problems are a risk for diabetes.
They recommend that recent heart attack victims exercise regularly and eat better foods such as olive oil and nuts. These are two of the foods incorporated in the Mediterranean Diet.
