System Three here is learning to use exchange lists for your carbs. Once you know from your doctor or dietician how many carbs you are allowed for each meal you would get to choose from your carb list what to eat. 15 grams of carbs is considered one carb serving. So if you can have three servings of carbs for lunch you would choose three foods with 15 grams of carbs each, whether it's a starch, a dairy, or a grain.
You would have a column for your calories, fats, sugars, and so on.
