This is just a reminder that even if you get your sugar level to normal, don't be cocky about it. Some of us fall into the trap that says your sugar is normal today so I guess it's OK to have that hot fudge sundae and cookies.
I do think it's good to reward yourself with a treat on occasion but you may want to rethink the typical portion size, or seek out some sugarless snacks. Remind yourself that this is how you got in trouble in the first place and you certainly don't want to go back to square one again. It's both costly and dangerous.
You may even want to balance the day you are having the treat with an additional walk or other exercise. That way you can enjoy your little reward without the guilt!
