For the many of you who have to use insulin but hate the shots, here is some good news! Researchers have come up with an insulin solution that seems to do the job!
The problem was that insulin is a protein and easily broke down by the stomach before it can get into the bloodstream where it must go to be effective.
What they have come up with was nanoparticles made from the shells of shrimp and lobster, that bond with the insulin and when inhaled in rats went right to the bloodstream. This is very good and promising news!
